5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed, April 10, 2012
This review is from: Sony SmartWatch (Electronics)
I work a job where I am limited on the amount of times I take my phone out. Our bosses do not care if we take a phone call here and there, but if we have our phone out, we can get in trouble. The Sony Smartwatch solved my problem. Instead of taking my phone out every time i get a message or text, I just look at my wrist and I know why my phone is vibrating (text message, email, message, facebook, etc.)

Battery life: it lasted only 1 day the first charge, but it got longer after that. This is expected with new batteries.
Phone used with: Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX 4G Android Phone, Black 32GB (Verizon Wireless)
*UPDATE - 04-12-2012 - I'm on my third day and the battery shows just under half.

Ease of use: Simple. You never need to sync it with your phone as it does all updates over bluetooth... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars So much better than Liveview, but not perfect..., April 15, 2012
This review is from: Sony SmartWatch (Electronics)
I own the previous version of this watch and I can plainly say, this watch is so much better :)

I'm using the SmartWatch with a Nexus S & Galaxy S 2 (not at the same time, lol) and I have yet to experience any issues of connectivity that plagued Liveview previously. I love the the metallic finish and simple power on/standby/power off on the side of the watch. I do, however miss having a led light on the outside of the watch letting you know that it needs charge or that device is fully charged if plugged in. The widgets and ease of Liveware software have really solidified my enjoyment of the Smartwatch. When turned on, the smartwatch automatically connects to your phone. I know that sounds so simple, but compared to Liveview it's a breath of fresh air. I can finally be several rooms away from phone and still get notifications. Battery life is decent, but definitely not 4 days. In fact, the more notifications you utilize (perhaps the music player widget) the shorter the... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at all., April 12, 2012
This review is from: Sony SmartWatch (Electronics)
I just received my MN2 today and so far I am loving it. The first thing that needs to be understood about this watch is that it is NOT a smartphone, it is an extension of a smart phone. I like being notified via a vibration on my wrist of an incoming call or text message. This allows me to keep my phone on truly silent the majority of the time. I like that I can check the weather via the weather widget and control my music from my wrist. When I go hiking I can now keep my phone in my back pack and change through songs via my watch rather then keeping my phone in my pocket just so I can change songs time to time.

The only con right now is that there is limited apps. But that is to be expected because it is just launching in the US. Hopefully in the time to come we will see apps for Pandora.
