You do not need to purchase the complete key if your remote functions are working normally. The blade is molded into the plastic head on remote head keys, so it must be cut to match your original key before you can use it. Once the new key shell is cut you can remove the electronic part from your original key, place it into the new shell and it will work just as normal.. Please be certain that this is the proper key for your vehicle.
